Artist Bio

My name is Joshua Zeiler. I started making art through digital tagging. Small, layered graphics built for online forums, where creativity happened quietly and without rules. That space shaped how I create. The rhythm, layering, and compression of tagging became my language. The way I still build, react, and arrange images. Today, I work in both digital and physical collage. What began in pixels now extends into paper, ink, and texture. Both worlds connected by the same pace and intuition I learned from tagging. My work blends found and personal imagery to explore memory, inheritance, identity, and the emotional weight of everyday life. Tagging gave me a way to create when I didn’t know what an artist was supposed to look like. It built a culture I still care deeply about. One that continues to live through my work and future projects.
