Architecture

There is something about putting a blank white page into some chemistry and seeing an image start to appear. Not the process, but rather the construction. Nothing to something. In my work, I not only focus on the formation of a photo, but also on the tear down of one. Marking things out as less interesting, with a plan to make that thing the center of my art piece. I deconstruct, then I reconstruct. It becomes a graceful and chaotic balance that I would rather not try to explain. In this series, I wanted to highlight my building process. Much like architecture, I destroy and create. I build on busy foundations, and empty ones. I use the piece rejected, and make it the center of my building. I am the architect.
